"Popping" sound coming from the right rear....
I'm having a "popping" sound coming from my right rear end of my 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo WJ 4.0 (88,000 miles) whenever I go over bumps or a rough road..... and it's driving me CRAZY.....
My long-time (and costly) mechanic said I needed new rear sway bar end links and bushings but wanted about $300 (parts & labor) so I decided save some money and order the parts online (RockAuto.com) and have my other mechanic buddy install the parts for a few cases of beer...
I just changed the rear sway bar end links (Moog #K3202) and the "popping" sound is still there....
I just ordered a pair of rear sway bar bushings (Moog #K7410) and will replace the current ones next week.... I see where these are attached to the rear frame with the rear sway bar running through them.... Will this eliminate the "popping" sound"?
Someone please tell me what the heck this kit is, it's supposed to fit my truck....

I can see the two (2) pieces (on top in the photo) that look similar to the Moog #K7410 items but what the heck are all the other pieces? I looked underneath the back end of my truck and I can't find anything under there that resembles any of those other pieces or where they might go....
Thanks again everyone for your help...

Old fart with a wrench
They are the end links that go from the bar to the axle. Check your trailing arms that connect the axle to the body. There are 2 lower arms and one triangular shaped upper. My 97 ZJ broke a lower arm out of the frame. You may have cracks in one of your mounting points. These control arms are about the only thing holding the rear axle into the body.
