pickin up a $500 wj today!!!!
im going to pick up my new wj today. one of my friends called me last night and asked if i wanted to buy her wj. i told her no i dont have 5 grand just laying around......she said i will give you a good deal on it. she knows im a jeep man and offered it to me first.
well i asked how much and she said $500 sound good? i told her be there in the morn to pick it up.
only known prob is that it dies when you put it into gear, and after looking around here, im pretty sure it needs a torque converter....called up my bubbies tranny shop and he said $150 for a new one.
so after today i will have a $650 wj!! selling it to buy a tow rig for the xj.....hopfully diesel.
what is a good asking price for a 2000 v8 wj with 120k? great condition... will post pics when i pick it up.

lol, for some reason yes, i am a lucky em effer!!!.....the interior is charcoal and black
also found out when i picked it up that it needs more work than i thought, but it will keep me busy for a min.
apparently, my friend didnt know she had blown a head gasket on the jeep. i checked the oil to find it looking like a chocolate milk shake!!
worst part about it is, since she didnt know about the head gasket, she drove it like that for god knows how long and you can hear a couple of rod bearings starting to knock.....rebuild time!!
either way it was a great deal for me. rebuild kits are right around $600, and i have a winter project.................anyone want it before i do the rebuild?....$2000
oh yeah, it doesnt need a torque converter....it had a bad connection at the alt....making it die when you put it in gear or whent over bumps. tightened connection and it stopped doing it.
