Default Overhead console blank

So looking for opinions my 04 WJ overhead console never worked, the guy I bought it from said one day it never came on so I figured it just crapped out. I checked all the fuses and all good. figured I just buy a used one. I did swapped it in and nothing and being optimistic I thought ooo man!! It's defective so got another one still nothing.. I checked the bulbs for the screen all good, I got onto Wjjeeps website and got the wiring diagram and its not getting power to the display? The sunroof and lights work fine but not the display?? I'm at a lost any opinions would be appreciated. Thank you

Supposedly, there are fuses in the under-dash junction block that supply power to the EVIC. Did you check those? Fuses 8 and 22.

Okay, in the wiring harness on the back of it, there should be 2 power sources. One is hot all the time and one is hot with the key on. Check for power up there. The hot one should be for the overhead lights and the key controlled one is for the EVIC power. The data comes from the BCM thru the data buss.

so I checked the black rectangle plug and I'm not getting power to either wire and sometimes my overhead lights will work whenever they want, I try to turn them on and nothing and a few minutes later they'll come on but they will always shut off when I want them to..

So when I was checking the wires I noticed finger marks around the sunroof rubber and seal looks like someone probably took out the headliner to do something to the sunroof in the past so maybe when they put the headliner back in they pinched something or never connected the ground. I'm gonna take it down and check everything this weekend and let you guys know.

My next suggestion was to check the harness.

The blend door motor only gets power when it's asked to move, as in changing it's position. It's a stepper motor that only moves a certain amount of angle determined by the pulses sent to it by the hvac controller. It MAY have constant power and the controller acts as a ground, IDK. That's the way the fuel injectors function. The PCM controls mixture by the length of time the injector is "on", or grounded.

MHO is you've got a loose connector somewhere. I think the harness goes up the driver's windshield pillar. Do you have lighted vanity mirrors and do they work? I think only the passenger's side is lighted.

ok so blend door motor has power now but just on one pin and its constant doesn't change if I move the temp or anything. The other 3 pins don't give power at anytime either

You may not like this but here is what I would with mine an 04 WJ Overland...It's time to take it to the dealership or at least a shop who knows about the electronics in these Jeep products.

I know dealership rates are high but when it comes to this sort of things I would go that route, I know also Dave would fix it if at all possible lol.
