OIL Pan removal 95 grand cherokee early
I have an early (94 purchase) 95 jeep grand cherokee limited with the 5.2 L engine. I have a chiltons manual and most everything is correct except for the oil level indicator and the starter motor mounting. The starter motor is mounted from the starter side with one bolt and one nut on a stud which holds the trnsmission lines to the cooler. The pan is loose but will not come out due to the stud projecting from the converter housing that mounts the starter. Question, is the stud threaded into the housing so that I can remove it. Also is the thread LH or RH. Any assistance you can give me would be greatly appreciated....Thanks....Doug

You can remove that stud, it just screws into the bellhousing. Just thread two nuts on to the stud and tighten them into eachother and the use your wrench on the bottom nut to unscrew and remove the stud.
