Default Oil cap problem

I took my 97 LTD for an oil change yesterday and the guy at the garage was unable to remove it as it kept 'clicking' it seems to have a ratchet mechanism
This morning when the engine was cold I removed it okay
Does amyone else have this annoying problem ?.

Thanks for the link I have some strong 2 part glue, I'll mix some up and pour it in
If that doesn't work I was thinking of using a long thin nut and screwhead bolt to try and clamp the cap together, with the screwhead part on the bottom ?.
