Oil cap problem
 
I took my 97 LTD for an oil change yesterday and the guy at the garage was unable to remove it as it kept 'clicking' it seems to have a ratchet mechanism :brickwall:
This morning when the engine was cold I removed it okay :confused1:
Does amyone else have this annoying problem ?.

Thanks for the link I have some strong 2 part glue, I'll mix some up and pour it in :thumbup:
If that doesn't work I was thinking of using a long thin nut and screwhead bolt to try and clamp the cap together, with the screwhead part on the bottom ?.

its a two pice oil cap comon problem on the 4.0 i got a carquest one my 97 zj

My 97 tj and 98 xj both had the same problem I just pryed the top part off threw it in the trash and use the bottom half of the oil cap.
