Just finished installing my g/f's birthday gift, the remote starter for her jeep 2005 grand cherokee. Not sure if your familiar with the oem system directly from the dealership? I ordered it factory direct online and isntalled it per the direction (which were a bit sketchy esp. when having 3 different sets of directions!) Anyways, installed it all, rechecked my system and test started it.
no start. supposed to push the remote start button twice for it to start. did this, it beeps both times you hit the button then it beeps twice after that. According to the installation booklet 2 beeps should mean one of the safety features are being activated. rechecked them, seem to be good. also, bypassed my hood safety switch now (heard they are faulty sometimes). still beeps twice and no start. I hate to take it to the dealership so was hoping somebody had some insight or 'been there done that' that could respond. sorry for the long post!
