A long while back I replaced the OEM radio with an aftermarket receiver and since then I've never had the AM stations. Then again I never used the AM stations till the last couple of years listening to the news and radio talk shows.

I've replaced the antenna cables and used an adapter for it as well and nothing. I get pretty decent reception on the FM, but some still scratchy, but no AM stations.

What do I need to do or fix?

Mine is an 03 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4/4.7

 

Sounds like the head unit sucks, try something else.

 

I'm not sure.. it's only a few years old but still never had AM stations.

 

I agree with Turbo. A higher quality deck may fix the problem.

 

Great. More money I don't have to spend. Guess I'll stick with what I have for now.

 

Walmart sells sony X plods pretty good for the price .
