New (to me) 2008 WK CRD QDII Overland 39k miles (pics inside)
Hi all,
I'm about to bring home (Denver) this vehicle. I think it's steel blue metallic. It has only 39k miles on it. It's a one owner originally from Fort McMurray, Alberta Canada. Everything looks to be in really good shape. Glow plug #1 was throwing an OBD code and that is being replaced. The wheels were also put on by the dealer. Anyone know the car or previous owner?
First mods I'm contemplating are the elephant hose and inserting the 4.7 resistor so hopefully I can thrwart any potential swirl motor issues. Perhaps taking off those chrome side moldings, blacking out the chrome window trim, and body color painting the grille, handles, and back chrome pieces.
Any suggestions on other mods are definitely welcome.
Thanks for looking,
Justin

Old fart with a wrench
Yes they have and so has the price! They are trying to compete for sales with the more expensive European SUV models like Mercedes and BMW.
Painting chrome is an exercise in frustration because it tends to flake or peel easily unless you scratch up the chrome first. You should install a Laredo grill instead. Check out wkjeeps.com to find different grills and other body parts. Then you could sell your chrome grill to someone else.
