HELP!
On a 93 grand cherokee laredo v6 4.0, the car cranks up after a full turn then a half, what would that be? Also the car is slow on take offs and it takes up to 3,000 rpms to shift to 2nd gear, what could that be also?
It may be a TPS,TCU,ECU,Cat converter but I need lots of ideas, cause mechanics around my place keep trying to scan my vehicle knowing damn well its an OBDI

Have you checked tranny fluid? Done a tranny filter change? Do you have any pinched transmission lines?

And FYI you can scan obd1 just as easily as obd2. on my 94 gc I can use my scanner to lock the doors, kill injectors, read codes. So dont think they cant scan it, any shop with a decent scan tool can do it.
The Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep dealership said they can't do OBD1's and apparently scanning the car doesn't give enough information to fix it, I had my car at a mechanic for 3 days now and they haven't figured the problem

Your '93 Grand Cherokee 4.0L should have the AW4 trans. Have you tried shifting it manually? If it shifts fine manually, the problem probably lies in your TCM. It's under the dash on your ZJ. Have you tested the TPS yet?
