I was asked to look into this problem by a friend.
She has a 95-96 Grand Cherokee 4.0L
Recently she had the head gasket changed.
Now she is getting a water surging sound behind the passenger's side of the dash.
I checked it out and the cooling system is full.
I suspect it is air-bound.
Anyone else have this problem?
Any suggestions on how to remedy this?
GC's are an unknown breed to me...Im an XJ man.

sounds like an air pocket, usually goes away on my test drives when I perform a head gasket change

The water for the heater core comes in there. The question you have to ask is: is there any signs of too much pressure in the system. The other is whether or not this is a Renix. Changed in 96 to the HO which has an open system vs the Renix with a closed system which is hard to get the air out of.
