hey all,
I've replaced just about everything in my front end steering wise and it still sounds like there are rocks and gnomes in my front end whenever I steer the heep. Process of elimination says it's the box....any input on this? Is it something I can do myself or no.....? Help??

IDK if this helps, but my Chevy truck had the same problem after I hit a rock with the box. It was grinding and groaning any time you turned the steering wheel. I swapped it out and then took it apart. Some ***** were shattered and when they made it to the sector gear, were grinding away at it. These are recirculating ball units that use ball bearings as gear teeth.
