I got a new engine to put in the Jeep. The old engine threw a connecting rod and is locked up. I got the transfer case in Neutral, and I cannot move the transmission stick. I need to move my jeep in the garage to do the engine swap, but it will not move being pulled. What can I do to get it rolling?

I had read somewhere that putting the transfer case is neutral would work. I am assuming this is not the case. any help is greatly appreciated, and needed quick.


UPDATE: Well, I got her moving, I pulled the tranny handle off and lightly tapped the shaft with a hammer while pulling down and got her in neutral. I am assuming the problem is she hasn't been ran in a while, and its been pretty cold so everything has been kind of gelled? Guess we will see.

Unfortunatley I broke both wires going to shift know so I will have to solder them later...

 

You do know that you have to have the ignition on and your foot on the brake to release the transmission interlock, right?
