So I borrowed my mom's grand cherokee to go to Mi. this weekend cuz I'm not a huge fan of my xj seats for long drives. I noticed on my way home at a toll both ticking, loud? It gets louder/faster with the rpms. Sounds like pass. side valve cover. It only has 24k mi. on it, we noticed that it only has the 3yr./36k mi. warranty in the owners manual. Not good because its a 2006 right? Any tips? Thanks in advance- Ron.

 

check your oil level.

or it could be a sticky lifter/tappet.
