Most people go somewhere on vacation. I chose to fix my A/C.

That is a lot of work! Seems like Chrysler magnetically levitated the heater and AC cores, then built the jeep around them.
I do not really go on vacation either, living in one of the more popular vacation destinations on the east coast.

Thanks Busted! That's the first time I've seen a picture of the entire HVAC system in the flesh! It takes up a whole lot of room, don't it? My WJ has rear seat heat ducts under the front seats, but little or no heat actually comes out of them. My socks can be soaking with sweat and my son says his feet are freezing. What's up with that?

If that's a vacation I don't want to take one lol. That's a real job to undertake for sure.

I live in a vacation area also here in SW MO. millions visit every year Roaring River State Park Trout fishing, Branson, MO., Silver Dollar City, Table Rock Lake and the original Bass Pro Shop here in Springfield, MO. only about 40 mi from most all of them.

If I know Busted as well as I think, when he's working, he hasn't the time to do something like this.

You're right Dave, I work six days a week and really don't care much for wrenching on my day off. I got her all back together last night, took longer than I wanted because I got sick the day after I tore it apart so I stayed near the bathroom. Then while putting it back together my daughter came to visit from college and I also reconfigured some of the stereo wiring, then the brake light switch broke when I installed it. Only had one screw left over!

One damn screw! There most be something about Mopars. I fixed my wife's Dodge K-car heater core in the cold (8*), in my driveway, in a tent, with a kerosene heater and had one damned screw left over! The dash creaked from that day until we sold it when you hit hard bumps.

I know where it goes, but I have to remove 8 more screws just to install the one left over. Later...probably never.

Other stuff I did on vacation. Split three loads of wood and hauled them to my mother in law's house. I can't wait to get back to work.

I haven't had a vacation on 8 years! Newspapermen have to get someone to cover the route if they want time off. I've taken day trips, but only one overnight. I really need to get back to RI and the Cape to visit old friends. It's been too long.
