Went to Silver Lake with my friend and his dad 6 years ago and thats when i decided i wanted a Jeep. Bought my XJ a few weeks ago with a 4 inch lift.. has a few probs such as oil leak; and play in steering. I want to make it up this year but not sure if I will get it in shape for the 3 hour one way trip to Silver Lake.

Looks like you had loads of fun

cool pictures!! One of my buddies has a cottage up there, we make it up about 4 times a year, Its a good time usually! I personally like it better on holidays, because its not quite as boring because their's a lot more stuff to watch and be jeleous of.

Im glad you like michigan, Its a beautiful State!! Well terrain wise, but Economy wise........good as poop!

Where did you camp at? Valdu?

I found a used one on Craigslist last week for $50. It was listed on the 30th and thought it would go super fast. I sent a message on last night and the guy was waiting on someone to pick it up that night. If I had gotten off my lazy butt and checked on it earlier it would be on my XJ.

how low did you end up going with your tires? i tried 10-12 psi and wasnt having much luck. i hear ya on the backing down a hill, i was definetely a experience to back down the hill. the hills look decieving when your on the lower part looking up or looking at pictures.
