Hi, I am new to the Forum today, and also have a '99 Wrangler: I have had great help from the Wrangler Forum, so I am hoping that this Cherokee Forum will help me solve the first and only problem I have ever had with my 2011 Grand Cherokee. I bought the Cherokee new in the US and brought it to Mexico, it now has only about 25000 miles on it. Suddenly I have a problem at start up in the morning. The engine turns over OK and it sounds as though it is trying to fire on one or two cylinders. If I persist, it will eventually start and it runs perfectly all day. I wondered if the fuel pump was bad and/or if I was losing fuel pressure over night. Any help would be appreciated... I am a long way from any authorized repair facility.

If I were you, I would perform some basic fuel pressure testing for starters. See what the fuel pressure is after the vehicle sits overnight. You need a certain amount of fuel pressure for the engine to fire. Can you get your mitts on a fuel pressure gauge?
