A couple of days ago I took out the shift lever assembly in my 94 zj. I replaced and greased the bushing and oil seal, put it all back together and it shifted beautiful. well the next day I noticed that it Wasent shifting as good and everyday it seams to get a little worse...does anyone have a clue of what I might have done wrong or has anyone had a simular problem to what I'm having.

 

The only ZJ that ever had ax-15 was 93 and there were very few of them. Do you mean XJ?
I would pull the shifter again, make sure everything is how it should be. Otherwise, how is your fluid and clutch?

 

93 AND 94 were the only years for the AX15 ZJs.

Is the problem with the motion of the shifter or is it having difficulty going into gears? How's the level of trans fluid? It could be as simple as you're low on fluid from the change.

 

Getting worse every day sounds like master or slave issue .

 

It's haveing difficulty going into gears...sits not terrible but its worse than what it was. The fluid level should be fine I changed it about a month ago but I will check it again today and check my work. thanks for all the help guys
