Default Check engine light

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 .
Check engine light will not go off?
Took to Autozone , Orileys , and Jeep Dealer,
no codes scanned.
Tried myself to delete light, by disconneting batt. cables
10 min. 30 min. and all other methods, no luck.
Replaced cooling fan relay, when light first came on.
Everthing works fine.
I even traced wire from relay, to PCM all OK.
Any help. Thanks.

There is no code coming up.
It runs fine, there are no engine fuel problems or hesitate,
or stall. Like there would be with a bad O2 sensor.

Would the bulb light if it was bad? No. It could be a possible ECM problem.

Ecm that the same as PCM?
Any way of checking one of those out?
Or just have to replace.
Cost around $475.00 for one on this vehicle.

You DO know there are 2 fuse panels, right? One above the brake pedal and one under the hood?

Put a code reader on it while it's running. It may be something that isn't setting a code.

I've had a technition tell me, if in doubt, replace the 02.

Have you tried tracing the wire back to the actual bulb? You could have a funky connection causing the bulb to be on constantly.

Default check engine light

All the dash warning light bulbs, including check engine light,
are all mounted in a circuit board, the socket and bulb unit,
twist in to the circuit board.
I guess I could see if the wiring harness that plugs in to
the dash circuit board, and find the right wire to the check engine light socket, but I don't know what color wire that would be?
Any help on that?
