My sons 2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo WJ had a passenger side headlight that would not light on lowbeams. All other lamps wiork correctly, and tge highbeams worked. He replaced the bulb, same thing. Highbeams work, lowbeams would not light. To rule out the bulb, I took a known to be working bulb from driver side to test, same thing. Put the new bulb in the driver side socket works fine.

I checked the voltage from the passenger socket and it has no power on lowbeams. When you switch to highbeams, you get the proper voltage. Searches of the forum suggested multi-funtion switch but another member debunked that, saying it is not the switch if the highbeams work. The wires look good and the same wires and socket work fine on highbeams. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?
