I have a 2000 GC 4.7L. It was warm here in TN and my wife put on the A/C, but it was blowing warm air. After checking things I find there is no freon in the system. I recharged it with one can of freon and a can of leak detector, and found a leak at the compressor inlet. Here is the pic:

I'm guessing the o-ring is bad as it's never been changed. Since fixing it will involve opening up the system, I'm thinking of changing the accumulator/hose assembly instead of just fixing the o-ring, as the accumulator hose looks a little funky:

By the looks of the piping on the accumulator, do you think it's worth it? Rockauto has the whole assembly for $37, which is not bad. Gonna replace the o-ring on the other compressor port while I'm in there, then have it recharged/oiled properly at a shop.

You would money ahead if you replaced all of the hoses and accumulator. Make sure you put the system into a vacuum for about 30 minutes to boil all of the moisture out before charging with refrigerant.
