Loose steering????

Default Loose steering????

I lifted my jeep and i got really loose steering so I checked my tie rods and replaced my whole front steering with the 1 ton steering all new, now my steering is very responsive turning left but turning to the right its still very loose, steering stabilizer is new, tie rods are new, drop down pitman arm is new, power steering pump is good, anybody have an idea

what 1 ton steering did u swap under there? Just curious. Did u ever check the steering box, and what do u mean by loose.

by loose im talking about when i turn right it responses quickly and when i turn to the right i have to turn the wheel about a eighth turn before it actually begins the turn ive tightened the screw on the top of the steering box and it doesnt help any it makes my left hand turn tighter but my right had turn has too much play in it for some reason any ideas??

sounds like it might be a bad box. I guess you could pop the draglink out of the pitmen arm, so nothing is connected to your steering, and see if u can still feel it. If you can then u know it is your box.

did you adjust the toe after lifting ,there is a bushing that prevent the link from rolling when you turn did you use it

I got it aligned after lifting it and they got the toe in the process, ad for the bushing not sure exactly what it does but no I didn't use it, my buddy has the same steering on his xj and no problems like what I'm experiencing

i pulled the drag off and turned it and its fine but when i conect it back it has the delay in the wheels turning to the right
