Putting 4L front springs in the rear will give you just shy of 4" and the V8 about a 1/2-3/4" more so you'd need at least 4" lift springs in the front. Control arms and shocks as well.

Here's my little brother's 96 and yes most of my family wheels jeeps. We did the front springs on the rear and put Rusty's 4" coils up front and I don't remember what lower control arms he used. These are 32s MTZs just for reference.
