lift on a 03 grand
ok, so i told my sons father inlaw that i did'nt like how my wifes 03 grand
is lower in the front then the back, now mind you this is her jeep not mine,
she is ok with leveling it out, he said take my stock 13 rubicon springs and shocks since he put a lift on his, i told him i don't think that's going to work, two different jeeps, well after thinking on this i think the front will work but what about the back, i know those springs are'nt gona work, spacers maybe, any ideas

Old fart with a wrench
Measure the difference in height you want to add and use spring spacers in the front. It's the easiest way. If you go swapping springs, it get complicated. I've heard of guys using V8 springs in 4.0 cars, but I think the simplest way is spring spacers. I don't think you'll need more than 2" anyway. Check rocker panel height and I think it's not as far off as you think.

Yeah, spacers would be the way to go. That way you know exactly how much lift you will get before you even grab a wrench. Swapping springs from another Jeep may work, but you really don't know how much lift you'll end up with until you're done with the job. Spacers can be had for around 50 bucks if you shop around.

The springs still have to come out to install the spacers, but all of the guess work of how much lift is gone with a spacer.
