I have a jeep WJ and my oil pressure stays half way all the time until sometimes when i come to a stop the gauge drops all the way down and my check gauges light comes on until i give it gas ago it goes away and the gauge goes back up to normal
can anyone tell me why its doing this? please!

 

Mine has done that too, hasn't done it in a while.

 

Oil Pressure switch.....It's located right above your Oil Filter. $45 approx...

 

Could be worn bearings. Ever had a blown head gasket?

 

i replaced the switch, seem to work for now hopefully thats all it was

 

 

Glad it seems to be fine, but I'm still curious about year/motor/mileage/oil weight.
