Slide the dimmer to the left and see if that shuts them off. If that does not work, check the door jamb switches.

My first Jeep did this a few years back. I looked for weeks to figure out the problem but no luck. So one day I just took the bulbs out and got a flashlight. When that got old I put new bulbs in and voila! No more problem.

Its not that, something has been draining my brand new battery. I got in my car started it and the lights came on, and havent gone off since I keep unhooking my battery so they dnt drain it.

No, not having bulbs won't drain the battery.

I would take them out if anything to save you the trouble of wrestling with your battery every morning. I'm sure there's an underlying cause somewhere but I damn near rewired that whole circuit and replaced every switch but it didn't make a difference (as far as the bulbs staying on).

It's worth a shot, at least until the cause is determined.

Or you could do that. Problem is you'd also lose your radio settings, courtesy lights, glove box light, and telltales.

On my '98, I found the switch for the tailgate glass had failed. It took a while to find it, because we never use the tailgate glass.
The switch is a dumb arrangement, and just kind of fell apart, keeping the interior lights on.
