Inside and Outside electrical dimming while driving - indicating near stall
SubscribeHey fellas, my 95 ZJ is nearly stalling while backing out of spaces or even driving down the road. Tonight, when I was driving straight the headlights and all interior lights dimmed to what I thought was going to be a stall out while driving. I couldn't tell if the motor was really losing power. I hit the gas hard to make it up a hill and didn't have issues after that.
The other day when backing out of a parking spot, it stalled out as I was turning the wheel, but cranked right back up no issues. The battery and alternator checked out good today at the part store, with and without a load on it.
I wouldn't think this to be a fuel issue due to all the electrical dimming at the same time. I thought about changing the TPS, but even if this thing stalled out completely the electrical shouldn't be dimming. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Depends on how much it's dimming. If the engine is stalling, the alternator is not putting out juice, so you could have a momentary dimming.
Time for some basic tests, like fuel pressure.
