Default I need your EXPERT advice guys...

Hey guys, Im looking at a 04 Limited that has 170k on the motor. Took a look at it today and its pretty much mint/new condition, would never know it had that mileage on it. Motor ran good, had plenty of power. Heres the link to take a look.

I guess what im asking since you all are the experts really...

Can i still get another 100k out of this 4.7 if maintained properly?? I know nothing of this engine.

Mine has 230k on it if that helps, and the ppl that had it before me didn't maintain it worth a crap

Well.. IDK about the price, mine had 145k on it and I thought i got a steal on it for 3 grand. put about a grand in it on cosmetic work tho. mine was also a 00 thou so Id say go for it.

Looks very good and that's a great price for an '04 WJ Overland. It had plenty of power because they came with the 265 hp 4.7L High Output V8. >->http://www.wjjeeps.com/overland.htm
There's never any guarantee with used vehicles, but that being said, with proper maintenance you might not have any trouble getting any trouble getting another 100K out of it. However premium fuel was recommended for that engine, and if it was driven hard for extended periods on regular unleaded fuel, that might cut down on the longevity of it. On a test drive listen for any pre-ignition/spark knock under load. Also, while idling listen for any valve-train noise from the cam covers/head area.
