Default I need help please

I have a 2000 grand Cherokee Laredo. A few months ago I was driving and it just shut off. Checked timing chain and gears and they are new replaced recently before I purchased this jeep. It has fire and fuel but will not restart. any ideas?

How do you know it's getting fuel? Adequately getting fuel.

Default Fuel

While starting we pushed pressure valve on side of fuel line in top of engine and it sprayed everywhere

Someone told me it could be crankshaft position sensor but came here to see if that was also said in forum

replace it, I have the same problem on my zj, only mine re-starts after about 20-30 min.

So the engine stalled and you jump right to the timing chain? Take it to a shop so they can do some diagnostic work and find the problem.

2000 could still read check engine codes through the instrument cluster. Cycle the ignition key from off to on, to off, to on.....the milage display will clear and trouble codes, if any will display.

Iirc obd2 doesn't do the key trick. Only cycles the dash and does a test of the dash.

Yes, they will show up as "P" codes in the odometer display. These "P" codes even include transmission codes.
