I have a 98 grand Cherokee and it recently has been shutting off when the vehicle get warm. after about 5 to 15 minutes it will start up and run again until it gets warm again.. now the weather is hot here in Tennessee it has really become a problem.. and since this is my only transportation I could use any advice on where to start looking to correct this problem asap!!! it is a 98 grand Cherokee with a 4.0 moter it has 230k on it .. it has been maintained and was very dependable .. I need to fix immediately..so any suggestions and guidance will b greatly appreciated thank you all for future help with this problem

See if you can pull any codes from the computer. Turn the key on, off, on, off, then on and count the CEL light flashes. For instance, a code 23 will be 2 short flashes, a pause followed by 3 short flashes. any other codes will come up also. A code 55 is "end of test".

See what you can get and we'll go from there.
