Default How to reset cpu

I just put a different steering column on my Cherokee the other day and the Cpu is cutting the jeep off after 5 sec. Is there a way to reset the Cpu to recognize the different steering column???

More info like year make and model will help a lot,But it sounds like the anti theft system is not seeing the key you might have to talk to a dealership or a locksmith to fix that/

If you have the security key system, you'll need the SKIM from the old column. Everything is integrated so it would be very hard to eliminate it entirely.

It's a 01 grand Cherokee limited. The locksmith said that I'll probably have to go to the dealership too but I wanted to save from having to tow it there
