2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo - 4X4 - 4.7 liter V8.

How can you tell if lash adjusters are bad? On DS Cam, there are 6 that are stiff & 2 that I can move up/down freely. Which ones are bad?
When i blow pressure into the side hole of the 2 that move freely, they pop up and hold pressure.

Also, When I had my head resurfaced, the lash adjusters were in a plastic bag, so I do not know if they belong in a certain slot, or if they go anywhere.

There is a bit of circular wear on the bottom of the lash adjusters...Is that normal?

 

the wear pattern is good, ideally all parts should be kept in order. If you follow the book on adjustment you will know if one is bad or good.
