Default home made control arms

has any one done this ????

I search for post and found nothing (if I did it wrong let me know )

I plan on using 4 in springs all the way around and want to fab up the control arms
also want to see what you all think of this (is it worth it)

I plan on dom tubing 1 7/8 x .120 wall with hiems joints on one end

For the cost of materials you can buy the arms ready to install.

yeah I understand that but have the dom already 10 feet or so
the cost would be mainly hiems joints to finish

and I get the satisfaction of making it too

Just be sure to use quality hiem joints, like those used in aircraft. Cheap ones won't last long. I used a hiem link for my rear swaybar when I autocrossed my Camero. After breaking several, I used aircraft joints. Then I ripped the mounting brackets out of the frame.

I use ruff stuff heims in my steering and they are fantastic, and they are priced fairly.

i would love to do long arms ans i am considering it but have to do more research on it
