Is this a hole in my block?

Default Is this a hole in my block?

I took off my timing cover and her looks like what appears to be a hole in the top of my block. Look at the picture below. I know my block is upside down but you can see that hole right where the top of the cam gear is it appears to lead to the lifter area. Is this normal?

Still can't see any picture, but if it's inside the timing chain cover, it's probably an oil drain hole to lube the timing chain.

Yeah, that's exactly what it is. Oil drain from the tappet area for the timing chain.
