Well, jronald, I guess you have it all figured out. People are trying to help but your getting angry at them for helping. I suppose your good to go with your 20 year old radio. Have a good alt noise/whine day.

Geez,
Talking about going overboard.
I disagreed with the facts presented/as known. Then clarified for understanding to reach agreement. Then 100% agreed with the capacitor comment. I dont think I offended anyone, and it was not my intention to offend anyone. That said i was attempting to remedy a situation I was unfamiliar with. A 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It appears there are far more knowledgable people/owners than I am myself, on this forum. I assumed that knowlegde would be shared freely
My area of knowledge was Pre-1990 Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes and a few Corvettes. Alpine and Blaupunkt were the chosen 2, with a few Fujitsu Ten mixed in for good measure.
SO
Let me rephrase my question a little
Are there any known, alternator whine issues with the 90 amp alternator used on a 93 Grand Cherokee?
If so please point me in the right direction, and in return I will dance at your next wedding!
Thanks for the help
Ron

Between the rerouted power wire, the battery powered, power wire, and the fact I discovered that one of the amps was before the accessory relay and the other one was after the relay, I have more than 90% of the noise cleared up.
Thank you for the suggestions.

My experince, replace the rca cables with newer shield ones. I had a 1990 subaru, put cheap yellow lightning audio rca cables in, had major alt whine. It was ran away from all powers and grounds. The only change I made was replaced them witha high quality 50$ pair of cables, been noise free since then.

Hey, that's an idea! I used new, but inexpensive cables. Let me swap some from the house receiver and see if that gets it all out.
Thanks
