Help, my jeep wont heat up!
I just replaced the water pump to my Jeep with a heavy duty one. Now its not gettting a back to "normal temps" its staying at a quarter of the gauge. Is this normal?? I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7L V8

Welcome to the Cherokee forums! Hate to break it to you, but you don't have a "XJ" you would have a ZJ, WJ or something else.
Some here are ambidextrous on Cherokees and Grand Cherokees but alas I am not one of them....
So I can't help you with your temp problem.

Sounds like you need a new thermostat. A thermostat's job is to make the engine maintain a set operating temperature as a minimum.
