Default Help Jeep whisperers 01 wj not starting.

Hello all. Sort of stuck at this point trying to get my one jeep to run. It's a 2001 Grand Cherokee with the 4.0. I have power to the relay for the ignition with the key, can get the starter to engage by jumping the relay but can't get the starter to engage with the key. No power to the remote wire on the starter with the key in the crank position. It's baffling.
I found a bunch of wires not connected to all of that, eaten by a rat, but what has been ate and found has been repaired. Have givin it a good look under the fuse/ relay block under the hood and all if that's intact.
What to try next is my question.

Have also swapped the relays around to see if that was the issue and seems to be that it isn't because I get the same results every time

Pull the starter relay and insert a multimeter to see if you get power to the relay when you turn the key to crank. The ignition switch has a fused output to the starter relay.

check ALL the fuses in the dash there are are a few modules that could have a blown fuse that would prevent cranking.

Update to this issue is I tried everything listed and was still having issues with it. Today I called the dodge dealer and spoke with a tech and he said to ground the relay directly and go from there. Cranked with the key but still hasn't fired up. Now onto that issue... I am getting fuel, rat ate injector wire so maybe a blown fuse there but not sure. Wish the weather didn't suck so much.
