I own a 97 Limited with a 5.2. It stalled and will not refire. The gas gauge was reading empty and the light is on. There is fuel in the tank, so I changed the fuel pump and relay. Still nothing, so I checked for spark which there was none. I changed the cam and crank sensor the cap and the rotor and still nothing. My scan tool will not link to the computer so I'm at wits end. Can anyone help

 

is your scan tool saying "no communication"? if so replace the cig lighter fuse and re try.
By any chance is the security light flashing? Or does it have an aftermarket alarm system?

 

It just says Link Error. no the security light is not flashing and its still the stock alarm system

 

Does the vehicle turn when you try to start it?

 

the fuses for the security system are behind the glove box, check those. also have the battery load tested, it could be bad inner cells causing the circuit to fail on load but not appear to be bad when not trying to start.
