My grandcherokee 97 have problems of starting every time the car is left of for more than 3 hours. Please help me since I'm new with this car.

 

Does it crank and not start? does it try to start?Are there any codes?What engine?
My first guess is fuel P.S.I.Not getting rail pressure when you turn the key.No fuel to the injectors.

You will never get an answer with that vague of a question, we need more info in order to help you.

 

The car cranks but won't start. The fuel gauge shows the fuel empty for awhile. when the fuel gauge goes up then the car can start.

 

Could be a bad fuel pump or sending unit.

 

Is it? Thanks anyway. But theres another problem about my car, when I press the accelerator to the max from stop the car lacks power and coughs as if the engine is dying. Please help me

Replace the fuel pump and the see if it still does it.

 

Stop second guessing the advise you're getting, plus nobody can be sure what the problem is without being able to see the vehicle firsthand. Check the fuel pressure before replacing the pump, but judging by the vague info you provided, it could be a fuel pump. The engine will stall when you step on the gas if there is not enough fuel to keep the engine running.
