Headliner trim

Model: Grand Cherokee (WK)
Engine: 3.7L V6
Headliner trim
I have a 2006 Jeep Cherokee. My headliner by the windshield is beginning to come loose. My question is there normally suppose to be a piece of trim between the headliner and the windshield? It looks unfinishedike there should be one.
