Default Grand Cherokee Rear Questions

Well,
I just borought home my newest jeep. A 97 Grand Cherokee for $300. Has a blown rear in it and was wondering what years the chrysler 8.25 would fit in for this one as it has abs and disc rear. Thanks in advance!

What rear end is in there now? If it's the D35 just get you a D44 from a donor ZJ. It'll have the disc's and ABS on it.

Stick with the 8.35. It is a much better rear end than the D35

They never put the 8.25 in the grand cherokees,only cherokees...if you have a V8 97 grand then it's a D44A,6cyl. then it's a D35.

Just make sure you get a rear that has the same gearing as you have now,if you give me the specs on your jeep i can tell you what gears you have and what to look for.
