You have some upgrades, such as the 28K Package, for example. However, you still have the standard 4.7 engine, NOT the H.O. option that was also offered.

Very good I see it has the towing pkg so the gearing is 3.73, class IV hitch with cooling extras installed.
Did you find out more about it from this or did the owner tell you what it had for installed options? Was this from the email address I gave you or was it not good after this long since I received mine on the WJ & XJ?
The price you posted seems very fair it it's as nice as you say and IMHO this was last yr for a real GC to be built, and worth the money even if you have spend a little on it down the road.

The 8th digit of the VIN code for the HO is J, vs. the N for the regular 4.7... yes, 4.7 HO's have the badge below the V8 badge on the right side of the tailgate.
In fact, just for the heck of it, let's decode your VIN, digit by digit:
1= Made in U.S.A.
J= Jeep
4= Multipurpose Vehicle (MPV) w/o Side Airbags
G= 5,001-6,000 Lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)
W= Grand Cherokee WJ 4X4
5= Limited
8= 4-Door Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV)
N= 4.7L Power Tech V8, 235 HP, 300 Lb. Ft. of Torque
5= Check Digit, Has Passed Check
4= 2004 Model Year (MY)
C= Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP), Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.
209579= Sequence Number/Build Number
Hope this helps

It needs a little TLC, but otherwise, in really good shape for an 04
replaced 4 support struts today for the rear hatch and glass
2 new hood struts install tomorrow
Its possibly going to need a new starter or alternator, having charging system checked
really groans when I turn the key, huge amp drain
