Got Another ZJ
Have another Jeep joining the hoard. Made a deal on a 95 ZJ for two hundred bucks, picking it up next weekend. This will be Jeep number 4 that will be parked at my house, and my fifth Jeep that I sort of own. I have my son in law's 91XJ at my house, my 95 ZJ sitting in the driveway, my 2012 JKUR parked on my dead lawn, and now another ZJ. Number five was my 2012 JKU Sport that my wife totaled on the 4th July. I'm Jeep rich, but cash poor at this point.

I like to throw my extra vehicles on blocks (to protect the grass) and admire them while drinking my 40 on the front porch. sometimes my neighbors join me.

Well I went and looked at the 200 dollar ZJ today and was amazed at how clean it is. A little soap and water on the outside, and a good vacuuming on the inside will maker her mint. It's only a 2wd, but it only has 149k miles on it. I'm going to get it running for my stepson, he's in dire need of a vehicle. The guy I bought it from is delivering it Sunday, I will post pics then.

Here's some pics of the 200 dollar ZJ. So far it needs a starter, battery, and ignition coil. It has one of those funky anti-theft chip things that may be preventing the starter from getting a signal, but I hooked a remote start switch to the start and it only spins, it's not kicking the gear out.

Sometimes I feel sorry for vehicles in the boneyard. They look like they have plenty of life left in them, but they were sent to the glue factory. I'm a car nut, always have been, always will be.

The point to that is you like the vehicle and figure you know it's faults and have a good idea how to fix them, you stick with it. That's good as long as the factory doesn't make too many changes. That's why I stuck with Chevy for so long. They didn't make many changes to the drivetrain for 40 years! I could rebuild a small block in my sleep!
Now that I've owned a ZJ and a WJ, I'm pretty fluent when speaking Jeep, but take a WK or WK2 and I'm lost. I've never worked on a TJ or XJ either, but the basics are the same, especially when talking about the 4.0.
My high school physics teacher told me you don't have to remember all the facts, just where to find them. He was Pi-Beta-Kappa from MIT, so I guess he knew what he was talking about. I know where the links are for info that I need, so I'm good.
For real life experience, I come to CF! You guys have been there!

Do you have any engines hanging from trees in your yard?
How do the neighbors and code enforcement folks like you? lol
