Good price?
Looking at 2003 GC Laredo with 88,000 miles. One owner, no kids, non-smoking. Luxury Group and (it seems) dealer-installed Towing Package.
Cosmetically it's in pristine condition, interior and exterior. Everything works. New tires. Needs roughly $1,400 in suspension work. Otherwise, mechanic says it's in excellent condition.
Dealer is asking $6,995 and says it's firm.
Thoughts on what a really fair price would be?

Yeah, but that's dealer labor prices. There shouldn't be much you couldn't do yourself if you're handy. Maybe borrow or rent a ball joint press.

Yep, a long arm lift from Rough Country (shut up haters) is 1500 bucks. That will give you a completely new suspension , just do the ball joints and steering linkage, DONE! It will cost more, but totally worth it.

5 1/2 yrs ago I bought my 04 GC "Overland" package and it did have every option offered by Jeep for that year including factory towing package D30/D44 both with posi tracks 3.73 gears Class IV hitch, 4.7HO engine. I bought it from the original owner who had service records from day one for all work and repairs done at Chy/Jeep dealerships. It was spotless inside and out but with 201,000 mi. on it and looked like new he was a VP of sales rep who traveled a lot company car. I paid $5100 for it off of a craigslist ad that ran for over 2 months and he said only had 3 calls on it miles scared them off, in fact he drove it over to my house that evening from another small town.
I drove him home to get the title and gave him a check best deal I have ever bought, to date have only changed oil & filters it even had new tires on it. The window sticker was in the folder in the glove box retail $58,748.29.
I think the price is a bit to high if they would do the repairs very close, the mileage is low for that much to be wrong.

Look up the max value of it in your area,I would use the repairs it needs to talk the price down. And offer in cash most of the time they take it or if not come back in a week or two.
