Default Girl needs help PLEASE!!

I'm NOT crazy, and I will PAYPAL anyone $100 for the answer to my problem. My 1996 Grand Cherokee "winter car" will sometimes run great "quick", other times like it is pulling a trailer, I'm not nuts, it will switch on and off as it pleases. Again I'm not crazy, it feels like it is all in the trainsmission, I went to put it on ramps for my friend and it wouldn't even go up them, turned it off and 20 min later it wanted to launch over them. Help me....what the heck is going on. Oh, it has a 5.2 if that matters. Thanks, Danielle!!!!!

Can you be a little more descriptive as to what is happening? Is it not turning on or it's just running poorly?

Not really because it would bog all the time if it was low but that was my first thought

If it was a fuel issue i dont see why it would be so intermittent. And not affected by temp. It really seems like an internal trans issue to me

x2 on Viscous Coupler in the NP249. They're surrounded in a viscous fluid that absorbs heat, and depending on the heat/friction, brings the clutches in the clutch pack together, or separates them, thus engaging the 4 Full Time (AWD basically). Very possible.

My old car was like that occasionally, turned out it was the brake discs, pads and coils failing (coils snapped on the 2 rear wheels, and brake discs and pads kept sticking). May be worth checking.

My 93 had a similar problem, would bog down and/or struggle to move forward or make tight turns a lower speeds......the viscous clutch was fried! Did not matter warm, cold or hot
