Hi, working my way through the faults on my new car. Have one I don't want to jump into without a bit of advice. My alarm, rear lights only flash when I lock the doors, it's impossible to turn on the "chirp" and I can sit in the car and do a Wayne's World impression (blast from the past) and nothing happens with regard to the interior sensors. Where do I start poking?

 

I hada recent problem with my alarm, but the telltail sign was that the alarm light was always on.

Mine flashed and opened with the remote, but the alarm and sensors didn't work. I took the car to a jeep specialist for some other work and mentioned the alam problem. He told me that it had become detatched (due to battery dying and laying flat for a month) from the car as the alarm is programmed with the VIN...or something similar. It cost £10 and about 5 mins to re-programme.

 

HAHA Sounds about right as mine was parked in a garage for 4 years, the battery was well dead when I collected it. Thanks for that.
