GC 4.0 2000 tranny problems (I think)
I have Jeep GC 2000 4.0 L6 and I had some problems with tranny: sometimes it drive in LIMP mode (no 1st and 4th gears), and on diagnostics I had 743, 748 and 753 fault codes. I bought following parts:
- Overdrive solenoid assembly
- Pressure sensor transducer
- Governor solenoid
- Output speed sensor
- Filter
And I replaced it, also changed fluid. But I had again same fault codes and again Jeep sometimes goes in LIMP mode.
I turn off the engine and restart it and then transmission isn't in LIMP mode. Sometimes I have to restart engine few times to exit LIMP mode.

You are looking at chasing an electrical fault. Either in the 8 pin connector on the trans, wiring in the trans, or from the 8 pin connector to the PCM and trans control relay. Good Luck.
