Default Gauges and windows not working

So the wife was driving the jeep and the gauges went dead and the windows are stuck open, I pulled the fuse box in the cab and under the hood no bad fuses, I then pulled the gauge pod and reset it in that did nothing, I even disconnected the battery and pulled the drivers seat and checked the grounds under it and still the gauges are not working I also did check the ground cables under the hood on the fire wall. anyone have and ideas of where else to check or how to test my BCM to make sure its bad? I am now thinking its the BCM for the jeep that's bad?

Pull the covers off of the steering column and look at the long flat plug on the ignition switch to see if any of the terminals are fried.

Did you ever find the problem? My daughter just called me and said her 2000 is doing the same thing.
