1994 GCL 5.2. engine stalls out while driving the other day. Tried to crank engine but it only wanted to shutter bad so I had it towed home. The next morning it cranked up fine and ran fine. Two days later it cranked right up I took it to a shop (Friday) and when they went to work on it Monday morning it would not start. no fuel pressure. once they got it running with starter fluid it has not acted up again. each day they would go crank it up and it would run fine.
IN the past year I have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, crank shaft ps, cam shaft ps, cap, rotors, plugs (champion) and wires and Accel coil pack. We are stumped and I need the jeep for my son who is returning home from the Marines to get married in a few weeks. Any advice would be helpful. And please , I do not want to see any bashing of the shop because they have always done a great job on all my other vehicles.

 

Put a fuel pressure gauge on the test port and start the engine. **** the engine off and watch the gauge, it shouldn't drop much and hold at least 25-30 psi. If the pressure drops quickly you might have one or more injectors bleeding down. Give the dipstick a whiff and see if it smells like gas.
