Ok so here is my situation
2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo/ not 4 wheel drive. Had engine replace a year ago. I have had an annoying small leak for a bit and cannot figure it out! I was looking at the oil pan today and I can see two spots where the seal seems to have been torn a bit. I read about bearings getting worn and could cause enough vibration to cause this but I don’t really have any other symptoms. Also had my transmission rebuilt 6mos ago. The leak seem to be at the front of the oil pan and this is also wear I saw the seal slightly torn. My question is is what might cause the new oil pan seal to appear as if it’s beginning to tear? I just don’t get it. Thanks folks!!!
